The caption to this week’s top shot reads:

Londoners are scheduled to receive their steel shelters against air raids from the government. So, when you receive your package containing the steel parts, a bag of nuts and bolts, and a spanner, you proceed to erect the shelter. Arch sections having been placed, and the end sheets inserted so as to form an entrance at the far end and an emergency exit nearest the camera, the excavated earth is shoveled back as a protective layer.
